It works by blocking the production of chemicals responsible for producing symptoms of allergy. Montelukast+Fexofenadine is available in the form of tablets, syrup, suspension, chewable tablets. Before using this medicine, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.

Mode of Action of Montelukast+Fexofenadine
How Does It Work?
- Montelukast acts by blocking the action of allergic mediator leukotrienes by binding to leukotriene receptors and helps in relieving the symptoms of allergy.
- Fexofenadine acts by blocking the action of the natural substance histamine which is produced by the body during allergic reactions.

Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way montelukast+fexofenadine works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- Especially if you are taking antibiotics, antifungals or medicines to treat your heart problems, psychiatric illnesses.
- There should be a minimum gap of 2 hours between the administration of montelukast+fexofenadine and antacid medicines containing aluminium and magnesium
- Medicines that act on the brain to produce calmness if taken along with this tablet may reduce the alertness and impairment of the performance.
- Other medicines such as phenobarbital, phenytoin, rifampin and gemfibrozil should be used cautiously.
